A simple weight-loss program can help lower blood pressure and help prevent some cases of heart disease, according to a new study in the journal Hypertension.

Recent studies have indicated that blood pressure decreases when people lose weight. However, these studies have mostly involved men and have been smaller and less reliable than expected. This study was designed to determine whether weight loss affected blood pressure. The study was a randomized, controlled trial.

A new study from the University of Warwick suggests that weight loss can lower blood pressure in people with type 2 diabetes. In the study, participants in a weight loss program lost almost two pounds a week, on average. During the course of the study, systolic blood pressure was 5.6 mmHg lower and diastolic blood pressure was 1.4 mmHg lower. All 10 participants in the study had their blood pressure monitored at the start before they joined the program and after they completed it.

A Harvard study found that obese patients with pre-hypertension who lost weight experienced a significant reduction in their blood pressure. In fact, the study authors report that more than 60 percent of the patients who lost 10 percent or more of their body weight experienced a significant reduction in their blood pressure. This study offers a good lesson for anyone hoping to lose weight and lower their blood pressure at the same time.

A study led by researchers at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has found that weight loss can lower blood pressure.
