weight loss is slow
I was just thinking about the weight loss thing. When I lose weight, it's excruciatingly slow. For years I've seen myself as a fat person, struggling to lose weight. But now I'm thinking of it as a process of liberation, of becoming free to work in the body I'm in.
What proportion of the time can we just stop worrying and get on with it? I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I could take the first step of just stopping worrying about the problem. I think I'm more in a situation where I can stop worrying about a job interview in a week's time or if I'd get the job in a month's time, but not right now. I don't think I've ever been in a situation where I could take the first step of just stopping worrying about the problem.
What are the health implications? What would happen if we were to put all our energy into weight loss? What would be the result? How much would it cost in money and time?
I've lost 17# since September
I've been losing weight for a couple of years, and I'm on a plateau. Is it time to give up? How bad am I really doing? What should I do to get off this plateau?
