I work out to keep fit. A 30-min walk two or three times a week is good for me. I do this at my local leisure center, which has a jogging track. I've lost 7 kgs by walking and jogging.
The best thing about the gym is that it is a place where I can lose weight to my own standards and not the standards of the people around me. A gym is also my safe place. There are people there with the same problem as me and I'm able to talk to them. I feel I'm not the only person who is trying to lose weight.
I had lost over a stone in weight before I heard about the study, but I'd been trying to cut out sugar and meat to lose some more. I started to wonder: would the study help me to cut out my bad habits while keeping my favorite foods? So I joined the study - and I couldn't believe the difference after a couple of weeks. The study helped me to feel like I could still eat chocolate, biscuits, and cheese because I was losing weight, but at the same time, I had far fewer calories to eat.
Well, I've been working on this project for a number of years now. It's about losing weight and being healthy, for myself and for my children. For me, the real benefits to this project are not a lot of money, but rather, it's something I can be proud of. I am proud to have created this project.
It's been my goal to lose ten pounds every month.'
