A couple of studies have shown that apple cider vinegar might help with weight loss. It might help people lose more weight than a placebo. But there is little evidence that it helps people lose more weight than a placebo, and a recent study found that it actually causes people to gain more weight than a placebo. The researchers suggested that vinegar contains high levels of potassium and chloride ions that actually raise a person's appetite and make people eat more.
